Today was a fun day with Summer up and about; starting to feel normal. Her throat is still sore but she’s starting to be able to eat some ‘regular’ foods beyond apple sauce and ramen. The sores on her hands from her allergic reaction are starting to fade. Chemotherapy is absolutely brutal but today we saw Summer’s energy start to return …and it was wonderfully normal.

Cheesebread and tomato parmesan soup looked delicious but proved to be a little too coarse for Summer’s throat.
Summer’s strong body is returning; today I watched as she wrestled her brother Colby with both arms while fighting off a couple of enthusiastic golden retrievers that we’re trying to tag in with one leg. No PICC line in her arm, so everything is fair game!
