Apt D Sunday (Day 17 Cycle 6)

Lots of time spent outdoors, enjoying the fresh air, making jokes and future plans - today was another good day for Summer.

Summer was demonstrating one of the side effects of chemo that she’s experiencing is called ‘foot drop’ - a condition where she can’t lift her toes/the front part of her foot due to her Achilles’ tendons being so tight.  Foot drop may have been the cause of her tripping a couple times, once into the lake while throwing the ball with the dogs, so she’s really got to be careful. Summer is looking forward to getting into the gym to start getting healthy again.

We also spent much of the morning trying to guess movie titles from poorly described movie plots. Summer would read the description, and we’d have to guess the movie title, without seeing the picture.  Here’s an example.

Bob and Summer play cribbage.  Bob got to put his name on the board because he skunked Summer.

Another beautiful summer day on the lake and Colby had a big party with his baseball friends & family.

Summer is doing great with only a few days remaining in her last cycle - getting stronger and stronger every day so it’s time for Bob and Kim to head home for a few days.  They’ll leave tomorrow and come back on Thursday/Day 21 for what we hope will be an incredibly normal, boring day.

GOOD NIGHT.
