Five Star Sunday (Day 17 Cycle 5)

Schedule:

• Team Summer check in 
• Laura, Derek and Colby road trip to Maryland for baseball tournament 
• Summer, Bob, and Kim work on “the letter”
• Kerri & Halle come over to join Summer for dinner 
• Summer field trip to Kerri’s 

Summer has been jonesing for some independence given she’s had all of us on top of her, at her beck and call since April 10th.   With these last few days of the cycle she’d like to be on her own and go to the Cape on Tuesday.  She seems out of the woods and we all agreed to support that.  

Google collaborative writing session 

Summer is on a mission, “Better for People” so to speak.  So we worked for a few hours on our letter that has been in progress now for almost a month - we hope to unveil publicly soon.  This was Bob’s first time using shared authoring tools so it took him a while to get used to his screen getting updated in real time as we made changes/edits to our document.  

We FINISHED the letter and it’s a true labor of love.  It is heart felt and inspiring. Summer is truly amazing!  Here’s a HINT into what we have been working on.

Hoodie buddies - Halle and Summer

Kerri came over tonight to make Summer dinner - which was very awesome of her because I’m sure left to her own, she probably would have just made ramen noodles (not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

After dinner they headed over to Kerri’s for some additional  R&R and few games of Scategories.  

It looks like Halle might have lost this round.  

Today was a SUPERBLY NORMAL DAY! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Summer is feeling so much better - her voice is better, her throat is better, she’s got some time on her own, we finished our letter and with the poop assignment completed our hope for the next four days is clear sailing as we go into the last cycle of chemo!
