Wiring Apt D Wednesday (Day 13 Cycle 3)

 Schedule Today:

Summer & Laura made it out on their 30 min walk today. It was a very nice walk through some trails at Rice Field.

Bob has been hard at work on Apt D (aka Lazy D van).  Today the goal was to finish to main electrical wiring which he did! VERY exciting!!

Video of Bob demonstrating his light install & the cool touch switch with a dimmer!

Kim and Bob now need to complete the list of any final wiring needs and then Bob can install the finished ceiling. It’s going to look so amazing - can’t wait to see it.

Kim is helping their best friend, Dave Rowse, set up his fundraising page for the Pan Mass Challenge. This will be his 15th time participating & this year his race is dedicated to Summer!  For his race jersey we are working with Summer to select a picture of her for Dave to wear during the race. So far these are her favorites.

What’s your favorite picture for Dave’s race shirt?  A, B, C, or D?

Or do you have another favorite/suggestion?  Summer has sunglasses on in all of these pictures and she has such gorgeous eyes, we might want to find a picture without glasses to consider, although she does look like a bad ass in these pics! We’ve got a few days to pull something together before we pick a final.

I will be posting more information on Dave’s race & his fundraising efforts (of which every dollar goes to Dana Farber!!) very soon. STAY TUNED.

Summer seems to be in a fun, mischievous mood tonight because when originally asked for pictures we should put on Dave’s shirt - these were her suggestions.

Summer’s humorous selection of photos for Dave’s Pan Mass Challenge race shirt.

As a side note:  For anyone “concerned” about what looks like Summer in very sad or horrified state here in these pictures  - the top right picture is of Summer’s reaction to opening a hysterical butterfly exploding cake box for her birthday (you can see the video posted on the blog around the time of her birthday) and the bottom left picture was taken with a snap chat filter.  Obviously the other two pictures are not of Summer- HAHA. We are NOT considering any of these for the shirt - but they are funny.

Tomorrow Summer has a visiting nurse coming for more bloodwork to help determine where she is with her low white blood cell count and we have COLBY’S GRADUATION!!

GOOD NIGHT!

Comments

  1. First off I meant to comment on Summer’s blood number— they were mostly out of spec which is not a good thing but probably not a very bad thing on some things. Hopefully they mostly right themselves after to day’s sampling.
Wow, I like that Warrior attitude tackling another 30’ walk with Mom. Walks in nature are so refreshing and to witness nature in all its boldness.
    Congratulations to Colby on graduating!
Bob wiring looks like a very complicated maze. Clever light switch. I did some wiring in the basement, and now when I throw the switch, unfortunately the intended light doesn’t come on but the upstair’s toilet flushes.
We couldn’t chose from various photos of Summer for the fund raiser. Except for the distorted photos any would work. I especially liked the peach fuzz and the red bandana photos. Reina likes the purple haired lady. Thanks though for clarifying that some of those weren’t raw photos of Summer. Pops

    1. I know, Pops! The "funny" pictures of Summer that she sent really AREN'T funny at all if you don't know what you are looking at because she looks terribly sad.

And I agree about reading the blood work - none of us REALLY know what it means. We will leave that to the experts and hoping to see better numbers today!!

  2. I like picture “B” and “A”. She’s my hero. Love her to the Moon. πŸ™
