Wednesday PET scan day & Kim's retirement party (Day 20 Cycle 3)

 Schedule:

• 10:30am bloodwork at Dana Farber
• 11:15am PET scan 
• 2:00pm  meeting with Dr. Parry 
• 5:00pm  Celebrating/Good bye Kim at EOE!

Summer waits at Dana Farber for her first appointment of the day

In between appointments, Bob and Summer are able to enjoy some sunshine in Boston.  They saw a puppy adoption event that Bob gave the BIG thumbs down to Summer playing with puppies - although we thought having a PET scan and an adoption event was too coincidental to let pass. They then spent time at the Pan Mass Challenge park before returning to meet with Dr. Parry.

At 2pm they met with Dr. Parry who gave us GREAT news about the scans - said the neuropathy will eventually go away, but call if it gets worse, and to stay out of the sun during chemo days starting again on Friday.

We aren't really sure how to read these scans except to say that Dr. Parry says they are excellent and her body is responding VERY well to the treatment.  

"You don't have to be an expert to see that this is working!" ~Dr. Parry.

Then we wrapped up the day with Kim's retirement party at Faces Brewery in Malden.
