Happy Father’s Day Sunday (Day 17 Cycle 3)

Happy Father’s Day Bob & Derek 

Summer woke up still not feeling well again this morning and now Laura is also feeling under the weather with a sore throat. Unfortunately for the Dads in our families, that meant a rescheduling of our Father’s Day festivities. Rest & lots of fluids for everyone down at Team Summer South so hopefully the germs don’t spread through the house as we prepare for Summer’s PET scan and Cycle 4 this week. 

With plans cancelled & an overcast day, that’s the perfect combination of conditions for a Netflix marathon day! 

As of bedtime, Summer was still not feeling great but felt “better” than she had been feeling the last two days.  Laura & Derek were also feeling better & Colby never had an any symptoms. Fingers crossed that this is just a 24 hour thing & that we’ve all done everything possible to recover! 

Happy Father’s Day to all our Dads - We are disappointed that we couldn’t spend time today with Bob’s Dad & Derek’s Dad, but we will most certainly reschedule as we look forward to celebrating when everyone is healthy. Special thoughts today for Kim & Laura’s Dads in Heaven - George & Don.

Summer is OFFICIALLY CANCER FREE!!

 OMG BEST NEWS EVER!!!!! Summer met with Dr. Parry - got her results today and she is “NED - No evidence of disease” - which means that Summer is officially cancer free and in remission!!!! Her heart is “totally normal” and Summer has moved into surveillance mode with check ins every 3 months for the next two years!!! 💚😂💚😂 Bob took a ton up pictures and we will write up a post later but for now …  WE CELEBRATE!!

Finally time for a HAIRCUT!

Summer is glowing after her haircut this evening!    Summer’s gorgeous hair is growing in full & thick!  In celebration of her returning locks, Aunt Becky gifted her a haircut in Boston which she took advantage of this evening - and WOW !! 🤩🤩🤩 “No more mullet!” ~Summer We have all loved watching Summer’s hair grow back.  Summer looks STUNNING in short hair.  Tonight was a wonderful milestone and made a huge difference being able to go to a salon to get it cut & styled.  YOU LOOK AMAZING SUMMER!! 💚💚💚
