Foto Friday (Day 15 Cycle 3)

Schedule Today:

  • More RESTING & More HEALING

Summer filled her meds for the week - this is always a mini-project with all of her medications.  They have to be checked & double checked that everything is correct and accounted for.  There are a number of prescriptions that were running low & need to be reordered - but she is becoming a PRO.

Summer was in a SUPER-FANTASTIC mood today which made our hearts explode.  She is headed to the Cape to spend time with friends & is excited for the treatments and the cancer to be OVER with the multiple celebrations that she wants have when this is all done.  It's just incredible the improvement in her physical state as her body moves through the cycle and the impact that has on her mental state.  We are hoping she has a strong week (Days 15-21) as we approach the start of cycle 4 next Friday.

Summer, Lucy & Kat on Cape Cod.  Dinner at the Lobster Trap

Our friend, Dave Rowse, is riding the Pan-Mass Challenge and dedicating his ride to Summer100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to Dana Farber and Kim has gladly stepped up to help him raise a ton of money for this saintly organization that has been so critical to our family and is in the process of saving Summer's life.  If you REALLY want to get a jump on things, here is a link to his donation site: https://donate.pmc.org/dr0154.  #PMC2022

Photo shoot for Dave's PMC fundraising

This is NOT to final picture we picked (we don't want to ruin the BIG reveal) - But this was one of our favorites.

We had a lot of fun taking picture of Dave on the doc with all of his colorful PMC jerseys from past rides (this will be his 15th time).  More to come about Dave's ride and our fundraising effort for Dana Farber!

While Summer is enjoying some much earned social time and the salty Cape air, Kim & Bob spent the evening capitalizing on the sunshine- working on the van, their NFL schedules (and hopefully a Team Summer field trip!), and then they wrapped up the day with a movie "classic", Silence of the Lambs.

It's so fantastic to write about and celebrate ordinary.

  1. It’s so refreshing hearing that Summer is feeling great and off to some great fun with friends. The young lady has sprouted wings of late and is putting them to use. Go, Summer!
Dave’s fundraiser is so unselfish and for such a great cause. Couldn’t help much with foto selection as a bit small on my fone and too lazy to track down pad. But large one above is pretty good.
Let’s hope Kim and Bob don’t get tangled in their own wiring. Pops.
