Schedule today:
12:00 Visiting Nurse - Natasha
Summer slept extremely poorly last night, waking up at 3am and not able to fall back asleep until 5:30am. Strangely enough Bob too was awake during that same timeframe. Strange coincidence or just a deep father-daughter connection between the two...you decide. Haha
Well, Summer did not walk today because she was so extremely tired. Totally understandable. Physical goals at this point during treatments need to be more aspirational given the true #1 goal is to listen to your body and fight the cancer - which takes a HUGE toll on her body.

Natasha (the visiting nurse) came today and did Summer's labs. Sadly today is Natasha's last day as the team is getting switched out. We really liked Natasha - she was funny & smiley and although allergic to dogs (& cats) she loved it when Dilly would casually sneak past the blockaded gate, into the kitchen & lay at their feet under the island seemingly “undetected”.
It’s impressive how Summer gets her results so quickly thereafter and says she is officially in the super low white blood count mode. Here are her results.
Summer gets her bloodwork done again on Thursday.
Unfortunately Summer still felt “bleh” at the end of the day. Hopefully she’ll get a good solid night rest.
Live and learn. Like learning to walk—one baby step at a time and if necessary rein it in instead of loping off. Tough kid there and resilient. Sleep tight and get some much needed rest. Pops
