Thursday is Commiserative for Summer (Day 8 Cycle 2)
Schedule today:
9:30am Visiting nurse - Natasha
Last night Laura checked in on Summer a number of times throughout the night and each time Summer was alseep. Derek slept on the couch in case she needed anything. Summer woke up around 8am - said she slept well and felt pretty good this morning! ;)
The nurse, Natasha, arrived promptly at 9:30am. She did bloodwork - took a sample back to the lab, replaced lines, replaced the dressing and took care of the blood from the point of insertion, thus resolving the concerns from yesterday, and flushed the PICC line.
A package arrived for Team Summer - Thank you Nana, Uncle Bob & Jen for the Summer Strong shirts! We love them! (group pic to follow!)
Bob went through all of the paperwork of the past 2 months and organized it for us so we could more readily access phone numbers and information when we need it. Thanks, Bob!
Summer went on an outing with Mom to look at plants & then napped before going to Colby's baseball game (he won!). They watched from the car because it was freezing, while Kim & Dad went exploring Wrentham night life at Parker's Pub. Bob even got a new hat!
