Sizzlin' Saturday - HOT HOT HOT but Normal (Day 10 Cycle 2)

Summer announced this morning "No more stool softener or laxatives today!" as she kicked the morning off with diarrhea.  She later said she didn't want to eat any corn today because she was “tracking the corn” she had from last night.  Yep, lots of poop talk around here.  We clearly have not gotten into a groove, as it feels we go from one extreme to the other.

Other than that, today was a really excellent day.  Summer was in a great mood & felt good.  The weather was hot, but we enjoyed the sun & stayed cool - we swam the dogs, checked out White Barn Farm, got ice cream at Nicky's, went to Colby's baseball game (he won!) and spent the afternoon out on the deck watching all the boaters/water skiiers/tubing/jet skis.  Lots of action out there.  But for us - there were no appointments, no nurses visits, no doctors appts, and no issues.  (knock on wood)

Derek, Laura, & Colby had a 3rd baseball game of the day at 7:30pm while Summer, Bob, & Kim ended the day making jambalaya, and watching the Celtics- Summer reported a few cold sores in her mouth and said she’d report it to Dr. Parry in the morning.

Today was Normal.  There are certain words that have jumped out at us and taken on new importance, almost new meaning, in the face of cancer.  Words you wouldn’t think we’d latch onto, but we have. Normal is one of those words. Boy, do we like normal.

Bob & Summer enjoy the day sitting on the boat
