Happy Birthday Summer (Day 15 Cycle 2)

 Schedule: 

       9:30am Visiting nurse - Natasha 

       1:30pm leave for the Cape

        5:30pm Birthday Dinner reservation at The Lobster Trap 

Early morning recon to prep the house for Summer’s birthday!

Then we played “who wore it best” and Summer had everyone trying on her wig. 









We wrapped up the wonderful evening at Mimi’s then headed home. 


We had a final final out at Apt D where we shared our ideas of an “intentionally planned socially distanced Summer Soirée” at her reunion.

    Summer, you were absolutely stunningly beautiful for your Birthday! Wow, some lucky guy awaits you. And you don’t need makeup. That was a such cool tannish dress today. You modeled it well. I bet this birthday will never lose it glitter in your mind.
    You welcomed 23 in with the brilliance of your composure, smile and radiant personality. When you’re 100, reflect on this grand day. Pops

One Year Cancerversary

Team Summer converged upon Summer’s Southie apartment to celebrate her 1 year “cancerversary” which Summer decided was going to be on the day she was admitted (versus her last day of treatment or NED).  We had a fantastic evening with lots of laughs - probably therapeutic to be able to tell stories NOW, with Summer being so healthy.  Summer wanted a “Frankenstein cake” to celebrate, so that’s exactly what we made.    Celebrating 1 year with Summer’s friends at her apartment

Summer is OFFICIALLY CANCER FREE!!

 OMG BEST NEWS EVER!!!!! Summer met with Dr. Parry - got her results today and she is “NED - No evidence of disease” - which means that Summer is officially cancer free and in remission!!!! Her heart is “totally normal” and Summer has moved into surveillance mode with check ins every 3 months for the next two years!!! 💚😂💚😂 Bob took a ton up pictures and we will write up a post later but for now …  WE CELEBRATE!!

Finally time for a HAIRCUT!

Summer is glowing after her haircut this evening!    Summer’s gorgeous hair is growing in full & thick!  In celebration of her returning locks, Aunt Becky gifted her a haircut in Boston which she took advantage of this evening - and WOW !! 🤩🤩🤩 “No more mullet!” ~Summer We have all loved watching Summer’s hair grow back.  Summer looks STUNNING in short hair.  Tonight was a wonderful milestone and made a huge difference being able to go to a salon to get it cut & styled.  YOU LOOK AMAZING SUMMER!! 💚💚💚
