Summer update Thursday:

Summer is settling nicely into her private room in the oncology/Dana Farber floor at BWH.

Her thoracic doctor came in first thing this morning to check on her to say things were going well and they are going to follow the oncology team’s lead and try to avoid surgery. 

She is on day two of steroids/prednisone and had a central line installed today.

Now we are waiting for final results of biopsy (which they say they are fast tracking), we will be meeting with the oncology doctor this afternoon and then they will get her started on chemo today or tomorrow.

Summer has her highs & lows but is in good spirits this afternoon. She is enjoying the food, can’t wait until she’s cleared to take a shower & is hugely appreciative of all the prayers, love, texts, & notes.
