Monday Update: Figuring this all out (Day 7 Cycle 1)

Summer's Schedule for the day:

10:30am Summer showered.  Concerns about a couple rashes on her chest.  It looks like it might be related to the adhesive that she had stuck to her.

11am - Visiting nurse (Karen) comes to the house to clean Summer's PICC line, set up the extension, & teach her how to clean it herself.

12pm - Bob & Summer to Boston

2pm - Dana Farber clean PICC line

Summer went to Dana Farber today for first outpatient visit (after she was released). She had some lab work to look at blood cells, and their count looked good, so no need for a transfusion. Then, another appt to clean her picc line ports and add extensions so she can clean herself with two hands.

It was a better day today, although we spent 5-6 hours doing appointments and stuff.

Tomorrow and Thursday should be mild. No appointments, no ‘things’ to do but just heal.

Summer talking to Dr. Parry with list of questions & assistance re: insurance.

3pm - Dana Farber blood work

Summer is exhausted after a long day!

Insurance denied the Cardiology Oncology visit with Dr. Peng.  Luckily a call to Dr. Parry and she put in the referral.  Hopefully we will be able to make the appointment on Tuesday.
