Friday Update: Second Biopsy

| Summer goes in for her second biopsy |

As Summer goes in for her second biopsy, she is wheeled in by the cousin of Pedro Martinez.
Friday AM Update:
The oncologist came to visit Summer this morning and said they need to do another biopsy. They may not put her under because what they plan to do is a less invasive measure. But no eating today for Summer.
According to Summer’s report from her doctor, “On masses there are tissues that die so they got part of the mass that had already shit the bed bc of my dope ass immune system.”
The doctors said they have narrowed it down to two types of cancers - both very treatable so they are calling it a good prognosis. The plan currently is to do the biopsy at 2pm today. Bob is going to ask if the doctors can reschedule it so we don’t miss the Red Sox’s first pitch.
Summer is in good spirits and seems more concerned about how we all are taking the news of needing another biopsy given what happened last time.
Another day of waiting. I will update when we have any new news.

Summer is doing great today & I am happy to report the biopsy went well. It was all hands on deck and Summer was awake/given local anesthesia during the process. They got plenty of material to test so now we just wait for the results. They say it could take a couple days to get the results so we hunker down and ride it out.
We soooo look forward to creating a treatment plan - Summer’s strength & attitude is truly inspirational.
